Marimo comes from the Japanese words Mari, "bouncy ball" and Mo, "underwater plant". These odd specimens are found in freshwater lakes in just only five countries.
In Japan, they are known to represent "Everlasting Love" and given as wedding gifts, as they are very slow growing, and can live up to 100+ years.
Marimo care is extremely simple, and perfect for low-light rooms. Leave the balls submerged in distilled water, and change out this water every week to two weeks. Each Marimo comes with a care tag as well.
